Charles Lew was raised and educated in Scotland, moved across the pond to Florida, then in 1998, threw everything in a Dodge Ram and headed straight to LA to attend Loyola Law School. His first LA job as a Hollywood bouncer exposed him to diverse array of industries, ultimately igniting his entrepreneurial spirit. Charles obtained his CA brokerage license in 2004, then fell victim to the 2008 crash, rendering him nearly penniless. Undeterred, he rebuilt brick by brick and went on to establish The Lew Firm, a boutique law firm representing LA's top hospitality brands and notables in music, entertainment, and sports. Partnering with a fellow attorney and long time friend, Alex “Chef” Kagianaris, Charles  opened Stout Burgers and Beer in 2009, an award-winning, Hollywood locals favorite. He has since formed many other ventures including Meta Dev Co., a web3 development company, The Morrison Pub, Boomtown Brewery, Huckleberry Ltd, Third Wave Market, and even a human resources technology called HRmony.

In addition to professional endeavors, Charles is deeply engaged in various civic and philanthropic duties. He serves on the Board of Directors at Loyola Law School, and pioneered the first “Law of The Metaverse” course which he taught last fall. Also a journalist at Entrepreneur, Charles regularly shares thought-provoking articles as one of the foremost AI leaders in the legal realm.

His dedication to the community is further evident through his appointment as LA City’s Small Business Commissioner. Charles remains actively involved in city and state affairs serving as a board member of Mental Health America Los Angeles, and AdoptTogether, championing important causes that touch the lives of many.
